The Canadian Owners and Pilots Association in conjunction with the Miramichi Airport will be flying young people
at the Miramichi Summer Fly-In in August.
COPA For Kids takes over where the Young Eagles program left off.
For the past decade, the volunteers of COPA Flight 39 of Miramichi have provided free flights to young would-be pilots ages
8 to 17. With the new COPA For Kids program they are able to offer this service to kids from 7 to 17. Kids will
fly in a single engine aircraft with a qualified pilot. This activity is safe, fun and it's free.
The
first thing that will happan after your turn comes up will be your flight briefing. A knowledgeable pilot will explain
how the controls work and what to expect during the flight. Afterwards you will climb in, buckle up and take off for
a fun and safe flight with an experienced and qualified pilot. Now wouldn't you like to see what your house looks
like from the air? You'll remember this day for the rest of your life.
To qualify you must habe a registration
form filled out and signed by a parent or legal guardian. This can be done right at the fly-in event.
Parents seeking further information about the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association
