Annual General Meeting 2010We invite all to the AGM on February 17th at 6:30
at the Goodie Shop. This is an opportune time to meet your new executive and learn what direction the organization is planning
to take in 2010. This evening brings another opportunity to work with other organizations. Prior to the
meeting with the Chamber of Commerce, the BIA of Newcastle will host their AGM at 5:45pm and our agenda
includes greetings and a presentation from the prestigious New Brunswick Business Council.

of Commerce was pleased to partner with the Newcastle Rotary Club, City of Miramichi and Enterprise Miramichi to launch the
new city and regional branding ofI AM Miramichi. You will
see many toques, t-shirts and the treasured I AM Miramichi hockey jersey as you travel around the area. There was a special
new trophy that has yet to be given a famous name but be on the lookout for the announcement. The participation of young and
old to do the Wave was fabulous. We will have many other opportunities to film those that participate in other functions in
the future. We are encouraging businesses and organizations to add this new logo to your letterhead and your websites. Miramichi’s
greatest asset is the people and this is a great opportunity to have a united brand for business large and small.

I AM MiramichiOur non-profit member driven voluntary organization is off to a great
start. YOUR Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the city of Miramichi and Enterprise Miramichi to support the Newcastle
Rotary Club to encourage tourism with the launch of the I AM Miramichi initiative.We had a soft launch and introduced this branding
at our Gala in November but now we are hitting the streets.This endeavor has brought energy to our city and region. Our Executive Director has
been co-coordinating a WAVE to be captured on video with as many of our community as we can find to participate. This
is one of many interactive parts of this program, which we hope will continue to be developed as time takes us into positive
results of this partnership. The I AM is to be incorporated into each and every business that we have in our beautiful city.
This new LOGO will harness the tremendous potential of the private enterprise system and enable its membership to accomplish
collectively what no one person or group could accomplish individually.
Business Retention & Expansion program launches with city wide partnershipThe City of Miramichi, Enterprise Miramichi, and the Miramichi Chamber of Commerce is
partnering with in the Business Retention and Expansion Program. This program involves interviewing approximately
220 businesses in our region. The largest industry to the smallest one person business and as many that fall in the middle
category. The information will them be tabulated to develop a strategic action plan to respond to business needs, concerns
and opportunities. This template will then be available to be used as an economic engine for the community as it will identify
issues and opportunities specific to business in the Miramichi.
