"No man can always be right. So the struggle is to do one's best, to  keep the brain and conscience clear, never to be swayed by unworthy  motives or inconsequential reasons, but to strive to unearth the basic factors involved, then do one's duty." -- Dwight D. Eisenhower

County Crier.Com and the character of Squire. His heart is part of the multicultural River here in Miramichi. His efforts to provide this web service to the community are never ending!
He loves to say, GIVER!
Squire made his first public appearance in Moncton at the 2003 Kiwanis Lifestyle & Trade Show. The above photo is Squire ringing for Miramichi region Tourism.
Squire was also the Bellman for Rodd Miramichi- A Rodd Signature Hotel.
Squire was quite proud to be able to greet more than five-hundred bus tour visitors
personally and on behalf of Rodd Miramichi.
During the visit of the Tall Ship's Squire made himself available for hundreds of photo's. Using the ship's as a backdrop provided many with a momento of the Miramichi.
Squire was also available during the Irish Festival and was rewarded for his
Ringing the Clans during the parade by, making the Times & Transcript
front page center.
(Thank-you Aimee Barry for such a fine photo.)

Moncton Airport greeting for my Mother was another personal highlight of Squire's
new venture. Airport security were quite impressed and had Squire pose for the security camera so as to have a photo made for their office.
When in costume Squire attracts quite a bit of attention and many question, as to why the costume and who are you?
Allways awnsered by, I am Squire County Crier and these are my period clothes
of a Colonnial era and mostly forgotten occupation of Crier.
May Squire be of any assistance?

Employee of the Year!
Dirk Stewart

Miscou Island 02-M.E. Maher Photo

Dirk has been working with this new business since it's creation May of 2003.
Dirk is the creator of Squire and the owner of
County Crier and CountyCrier.Com. This business of Crier, is his effort to reintroduce to The River, a longforgotten way of announcing information and occasions. Modelling himself somewhat after his grandfather GP Stewart who was a prolific writer and opinionated submitter of letters to the editor.
After recieving GP's archives of journals, scrapbooks and pictures, Dirk's interest in local history was sparked.

Dirk started his hobby of writing as a teen during the early 1970's.
That era was mostly humourous musings and prose, it was fun and mostly
non-traditional, somewhat Kerouac in it's ramblings.
(Some would even tell him later he was Gonzo in Style & Behavior)

In 2003 & 2004 His writing interests and style have evolved to
turn back in time with Historical Narratives and Interpretation of
Local Events signifigant to the Miramichi Region.

Still fond in memory of Jack, Hunter, Kesey, Carlos and with Cassidy no longer steering the way, Magi Buses have evolved to Replicated Tall Ship's and  his much researched and reflected opinions are created from the heart of a true Miramichier, Proud of his Multi-Cultural Roots and Diversified Studies.
