Arasha Resort in the Rainforest

Arasha is located two hours from Quito in the middle of the richest, most " bio diverse " hot spots on the globe, with more than 35,000 species. We left Quito & took the road to the middle of the world. We then continued to Pedro Vincente Maldonado. To get to the Rainforest, we passed through three forests. The first near Quito ( 10,000 ft. ) is a regular forest. As you travel down the road, we passed through the Cloud Forest ( 3,000 ft. ). At the end is the Rainforest ( 800 ft. ).

While at the Arasha Resort we lived in thatched bungalows. We made chocolate from cocoa beans and ate it, toured the rainforest of Macallares, did a torchlight tour of the rainforest, left every morning @ 6AM for bird watching, butterflies & hummingbirds. Bev & I both had a complete body & spiritual cleansing from a Tshachilia Shaman. He came from a Village 21/2 hours in the rainforest. Great experience. Felt cleansed. Wouldn't hurt Mayor or Council or other politicians to visit a Shaman.

Would like to thank William & Sandra, our guides for a great time.
