CONCERT FOR CONSERVATION - Thank you to everyone who made the evening a great success!!
A MIRAMICHI MESSAGE
The Miramichi Salmon Association respects the long and rich legacy of the Miramichi
River and its precious resource, accepting the responsibility to help sustain that heritage by encouraging all
anglers to practice catch-and-release fishing with barbless hooks. The release of all fish is a great act
of conservation in which we can all set an important example in principle. It
is an act that we hope will have the rippling effect among all anglers to participate in this type of conservation leadership.
The goal
in the months and years ahead is to work towards the preservation and enhancement of the wild Atlantic salmon, and for the
protection of its habitat in the Miramichi watershed.
The challenge to save the Atlantic salmon has never
been so great. There is a vital need for all MSA members to renew commitments - your support is greatly appreciated.
MSA continues to look to build its membership strength, so we encourage you, if not already a member, to please join our ranks.
Thank you. Manley Price, Chairman

Statement
Miramichi Salmon Association Leading
River Conservation Since 1953
Global-class leadership, stewardship and conservation practices
for the Miramichi Watershed to continuously preserve and advance its environmental integrity for the benefit of all species, in particular the Atlantic Salmon. MandateSince 1953, the MSA and
its members have directed their capabilities and their funds to the protection of the entire Miramichi River system.
For over 55 years, the MSA has watched over the Miramichi as a champion of conservation on behalf of anglers,
outfitters, guides and all others with economic, environmental and recreational interests in the river.
Managed by volunteers from Canada, the USA and abroad, as officers and directors, the MSA remains
cooperative with, but independent of, government or special interests influence. It responds in the end only to its growing
conservation membership.
The net result is a well-managed river system that today,
thanks in part to the MSA's championing of its cause, has more miles of salmon angling water and holds larger and healthier
populations of Atlantic salmon than any other river in North America.
