Monday Feb 08/10 No grooming
yesterday.Trail 52 North was groomed Saturday night, with light traffic yesterday,it will still be in good condition. The
snow we are getting will help Especially closer to town.
Sunday Feb 07/10
Lots of traffic yesterday, over to Red Pine, tried new groomer, very nice.Trail 52 North was groomed to the headpond
last night/this AM.Travelling North there will be a rough section near the spur line(not enough snow to fill
the ruts). From Taylor Brook road watch for re-route to logging road.Huge crowds at Pond Hockey Event.Cheers
Saturday Feb 06/10 Two
events today,Nepisiquit's party at Red Pine shelter and the Miramichi's biggest yet Pond Hockey tournament, over a hundred teams entered. Yesterday trail 21 was compacted as far as
the Napan river, the bridge and bank has washed out.Trail 511 was compacted. The BR 180 was floated back and did
trail 520 with the compactor.Tne Sno Cat groomed trail 521.
Friday Feb 05/10 The BR
180 with the compactor on was unloaded at Barnaby yesterday, the operator says the trail 52is reasonably good until
getting closer to the city, there are some rough areas due to lack of snow, again CAUTION is the word. Today
they will try to do Trail 21.The Sno Cat needed some minor repairs yesterday.
Thursday Jan 04/10
Trail 517 done yesterday,it groomed up great, our section of trail 42 also done not perfectbut not bad for the amount
of snow to work with. The BR 180 groomed out trail 514,there are a few wet and rough areas again with more
snow it will be better. On trail 52 North toward the headpond crew fixed that wet area so as the groomer could cross,in
fact they crossed the headpond to the lodge, then returned home via trail 52.From the Taylor brook road to the
headpond we re-routed the first section of the trail to a logging road,it is all signed as per the new guidelines. Will
be floating the BR 180 with compactor on to to the South side of the river today.
