1. All teams must be registered and have paid their entry
fee by the 7th of September 2006. Due to the limited number of teams
those teams who competed the previous year will be given priority for the current year.
Once the limit has been reached teams will be put on standby list in order by the date their request was received. This list will be used to fill in for any cancellations and to prepare the list for
next year..
2. Racers are responsible for providing their own canoe
and bikes. There is no restriction on the type of canoe or bike, however, the
team must use a canoe and not a kayak. The canoe shall have two people in it
and must be paddled, not motorized or rowed. The bike must be a two-wheeled bicycle
with no motorized assistance.
3. Any infraction of the rules (shortcuts, unauthorized
assistance, obstructing other racers, etc) will mean disqualification of the team at fault.
4. All grievances or complaints must be reported to the
judge’s table immediately upon completion of your race. The judges’
decision will be final. Team numbers of any witnesses to the infraction should
be identified to assist the judges in their ruling.
5. Remember, although this is a competitive race the idea is for all to have fun through sportsmanship and fair
play.
