As a courtesy to guests living out of town, a list of local accommodations
may be provided by the bride and groom. You may wish to send these lists with your invitations. Make sure to send them well
in advance to give your guests plenty of time to book a room and make travel plans.
Include all types of accommodations (motels, hotels, bed & breakfasts...) to ensure your guests comfort. Also
include prices, facilities available, location and telephone number. Guests who will travel to attend your wedding will find
this very considerate and convenient.
Some accommodations
offer special group rates. If you have a large number of guests traveling from out of town you may be able to set aside a
block of rooms ahead of time.
Your wedding is a very big
and often very tiring day, so most newlyweds do not leave for their honeymoon on that night. If you will be staying in the
area on your wedding night be sure to look into your local accommodations. Many places offer special honeymoon packages.
